No Charge. I was quite pleased. The adhesive appeared to be an industrial, or at least no-name, brand of superglue-type adhesive. I open the vent everytime I drive the car and close it again when I park it; hot, cold, dry, wet. We'll see how well it holds up over the long term, but so far so good. I thought the same thing and ordered a set from the English eBay store. The Spider latch won't fit on the "stud". Different size. Also, the half-moon is 90° off from the Spider latches. You're pretty good at modifying things, so if you want mine to play with, I'll send them to you. From the description: It is a U shaped bracket. The window fits inside it and the Quarter Light Catch attaches to it. So similar in concept to the VW one, only that instead of using that black nut with the metal tab you install your original mechanism to it...
