Anyone have experience with Repco Metalmaster pads on late 70s or early 80s spiders?
I read about Metalmasters on http://www.mirafiori.com/model/discbrake/ but to my surprise haven't found an online source.
Thanks in advance.

Have not tried those, but recently tried EBC "Green stuff" pads and these things ROCK! Mark Allison carries them and i also found a shop that carries the pads for the rears (more difficult to find), do some research on these pads you will be blown away by their stopping power!

How do the EBC green stuff affect the disc (rotors)?

if you think the Green Stuff works well, give the Yellow Stuff pads a try, They are superior to the Green pads and are also available for the rear

Repco (PBR Australia) Metal Masters have always been recognised as a worthwhile upgrade from standard disc pads. They are now being marketed under the brand name AXXIS.

I've been using EBC Yellows on my AC Coupe tarmac rally car (front and rear) for the last couple of years and they work brilliantly when warmed up. I don't know if I'd recommend them for regular road use though, as I've had a couple of moments driving to and from events where, when cold, they haven't had the bite I expected .

Re: Brakes: Repco Metalmaster?
the metal master pads cause excessive rotor wear, but who cares, fiat rotors are cheap and should be replaced everytime you replace the pads anyway. and those pads do stop well. have to heat them up abit first, but i used them for years racing and on my street cars. as ferodo ds11 pads are no longer available those rock! i have never tryed the green or yellow stuff pads. so i cannot rate them. just my .02 worth
