Which bolt leaks oil?

Post by spidernut »

I've gradually developed a rather serious oil leak from the exhaust manifold on my 79 Spider. I know the oil comes from one of the bolts near the exhaust port closest to the firewall. I tried tightening the exhaust manifold, but it still leaks. After removing the manifold, the gasket is thoroughly saturated with oil. Does anyone know which of the two bolts is the one that causes the leak? I'm considering putting Permatex on the block end of the stud to permanently stop the leaking before putting the new gasket and manifold back on.

The top 2 go into oil filled areas. They need to be sealed.

Thanks. I'll seal both of them.
