Inside clips for sun visors

Post by KensSpider »

My '75 had both sun visors missing when I bought it. I have found the visors themselves and have them in hand. The chrome outside attachment is in place on both sides (driver & passenger).

But whatever is supposed to be on the inside (both driver & passenger sides) is still missing so I can't install the visors.

Any idea for a source for these two thingys? IAP doesn't show them.

The sun peaked out today and ... well ... you know!!

Thanks in advance!!

Cheers!!

mine are not held on by clips, they are held on by a plastic part that allows the shade to pivot up and down only.

they were not designed to shade you on the side window....only the windshield.

as I recall, the black plastic clip comes with a new set of visors.

and, as true with most of our vendors.....not everything they gladly stock and sell is listed in their catalogues. frequently you should call or email them for those hard to find items. you will be presently surprised on occasion.

Well finally checked all my extra parts boxes and car and no luck on the clips . Sorry. I know what you're looking for and think that you might be able to exchange it with another one from a different car like a 70's rabbit as the visors look almost identical. Good luck.

Here are some for a 2000, appaently they have a 8mm shaft. I think earlier years had a smaller shaft. Ask him if he's got the smaller version. Good thing about plastic is that it can be filed, sanded, or milled to a smaller size.

Here are the clips you need. I've bought stuff off this guy before, pleasure to deal with.
