4 bolts on drive shaft to rear end

What sort of wrench is needed for the nuts on these bolts? I can't get a socket or regular box wrench on them.

I am able to get a regular box wrench on mine, though it is tight. Some box wrenches are thinner than others. You may need to go shopping (or borrow mine). You could try an open end wrench, but then you risk rounding off the flats.

i have always used an open end box wrench on them.

So did I, never had a problem, even with a hammer.
