i'm from canada and was wondering were i can get parts for my spider if anyone can help

Hi there, missed the new member section by one,but welcome.
Where in Canada are you? Kinda big country
I'm in the Okanagan (BC) and some are on the Island and some around Toronto and Montreal and Halifax I think as well.
I have some used parts here,but I get new stuff from the various vendors in the states and Ital Motors in Edmonton.

from cooks creek manitoba near winnipeg. i don't have pics yet. the car is in storage, i will be going through it in spring and i'am just tring to find a place were i can get parts easily, hopefully in canada.the car has 65000kms no rust anywhere (unbelievable). needs new conv. top, timing belt needs to be changed, trans resealed, regular maintainance done. i'am also looking for service manuals.

There are plenty of venders in the US but I'm not sure about Canada. There is one guy on ebay all the time selling parts from Canada, he may be a vender as well. Good luck with the car and welcome!

Welcome aboard and good luck with your new project. You can find numerous maintenance items through NAPA. For more specialized parts, I suggest the US-based dealers who advertise on this site and others. Try to have items shipped by US Postal Service or FedEx, to minimze the brokerage fees at the border.

I'm on Vancouver Island and have had some success with the local parts vendors (NAPA, Lordco) for some stuff. I've also ordered from Mark Allison and Vicks Automotive with great success. As Peter pointed out - using the USPS is the way to go and with the dollar situation now ordering from the States doesn't hurt too much! My advice is to go to your local parts source to see if they have what you need first and go to the US Fiat specialty supliers next.

Rock Auto, online, also seems to have good, basic items like filters, etc.
Mark, Vicks, IAP, Auto Ricambi, Bruce's Parts - these are the Fiat specialty vendors I know of - all based in the states, I believe.

I'm from Eastern Ontario and around here many car guys who need parts and can only get out of the US have them sent to the nearest UPS store. Then they drive over and pick them up. Of course claiming them when crossing back over the border and paying the respective taxes. But you end up saving some incredible "brokerage" fees.

In your case and looking at a map, it might be a bit of a haul to the nearest UPS store.

I order all my parts from US. If they use USPS for shipping and the address is not a buisiness but a home, you don't pay nothing 90% of the time. But if they ship whit UPS, be prepare to pay a lot.

Here's a source for reprints of the factory manual http://www.spidermanuals.com/ Since you're likely a little far from a Fiat expert, perhaps the full factory manual would be a better choice than a generic Haynes or Clymer manual.
