Above is a picture of the US model 500 we FIAT 500 Prima Edizione owners can expect. Still no word on when we can finalize the sale or who the dealership is, but at least they haven't forgotten about me and my #19!

A number of us in Texas got the same email! Here is a link to an article on what some of the new FIAT dealers are planning to do at their stores. I like the enthusiasm I see.

I'll try to get down to the LA auto show that day, Nov 17. That's a Wednesday.

I should be receiving one of those e-mails, too, but haven't yet. Hope they didn't forget me!

I also received my email.

I can't say I am liking the black stripe. At all. They may get to keep mine.

I met the 500 Accessory Manager at SEMA and chatted with him for over an hour. They already have 119 dealer accessories approved for the car with more to come. The reason for requiring a separate showroom for the 500 is that it will be a boutique, featuring all of the ways to personalize your car. He was blown away by the interest in the cars. I'll post my findings on the new car in a new topic

Wait until you see the TwinAir motor. Hope it makes it to North America, because it's perfect for the 500.

is there a set selling price?
lets say the selling price is 18k. does that mean that the dealerships are going to try to squeeze 26k out you because they are new and cool. I forgot what they call that when the dealerships are suppose to sell the car for 20k but they put it up for 45k. Besides a rip off. they do it to the vipers, cobras, etc.

I expressed that concern to both the 500 Accessory Manager and a new Fiat dealer I met at SEMA. They both said Laura will NOT allow that to happen.

Today I received an evite to a 500 cocktail party on the 16th for Prima Edizone owners. We'll get the premier unveiling the day before it happens at the LA Auto Show

Mark - glad you spoke to Laura about dealers putting a "market adjustment" on the cars. I hate not being able to make it to the Prima Edizione introductory cocktail on the 16th, so you have to take lots of pics for we who can't attend! Also, ask them about options that may be available on the Prima Edizione cars. I sure would like to have SIRIUS radio and a GPS, for instance.
