I'm looking for pictures of people who have installed marks Ferrari imitation dash. I know I've seen at least one car with it in. I'm also looking for solutions for the upper radio console once it's installed since I remember there being an issue with the dash matching the stock console.
Thanks

Why would you want to see pictures of the people? Wouldn't you rather see pictures of there dashes?
Here is a solution for the radio console

Or do it like I did it with my original dash, don't have one.

Re: SoCal marks custom dash
A friend of mine asked me not to long ago about mounting a radio in his 1957 VW BUS he spent a few years
restoring it and wanted something not seen but functional so i looked into a few ways to do this what he ended
up going with was a Pioneer Radio Remote Controlled but none IR base It is RF so no line of sight needed
the radio was placed behind the carpet on the front under the dash . It works great he has IPod, CD and Radio
everything operates off his remote .

This is the car the dash was originally intended for:
NO, this is NOT the car on ebay. That car is called the Modena. The car you see here is called the Fiarina and was built by Shane, sorry, I can't spell his last name. That's him and his wife in the first picture. He hand built all the parts and It was built on a stock Fiat Spider. My friend Doug bought a dash from Shane about ten years ago, the same as the ones being sold today. I took these pictures at Quail Lodge in Monterey many years ago.
I met Shane at his shop once when he was selling a fire damaged 308 GT4; It was a little too rough for what I was looking for. He called me a few years later looking to sell parts to build on of his Fiarinas. He had several of these in various stages of completion. I guess he didn't think I was serious because I never heard back from him. Too bad; I'd still love to build on of these...

Sorry the car currently on Ebay is Shane Garibian's. Shane unfortunately passed away in 2007. I was helping him build his Fiarina's. If you look carefully you can see his California logo on the front and the crossed flags on the trunk(I know that car inside out) The whole project was sold to RCR in Michigan.

Well, that would explain the 4 cylinder Fiat engine and not a Ford 302! The Canadian reference threw me... My mistake. I need to put on my reading glasses and put down the wine glass!halg wrote:Sorry the car currently on Ebay is Shane Garibian's. Shane unfortunately passed away in 2007. So sorry to hear Shane passed. He was a very talented man. I'd still like to build one of his Fiarinas.
Re: SoCal marks custom dash
we're currently working on a middle console to fit the custom dash. As it is, you can turn your stock middle console upside down and it nearly fits. With the slope of the middle console angling the opposite way, it makes the console a good place to add gauges, etc since it's now visible from the drivers' seat.
Re: SoCal marks custom dash
I also helped Shane on some details of this red Fiarina's on Ebay he was very good at what he didI'd still like to build one of his Fiarinas.
after getting a chance to see all the work and detail that go's into building one of these would
say be ready for a long project because it involves a lot of prep work !
You would cut off the outer sheet metal skins off the front and rear of the car for starters, then glue
fiberglass molds of his kit in place ...... not for a novice at all nor am i saying your a novice cause i
have no ideal your skill level but just a warning on the complexity involved with building this car .
