Rear Bumper Blocks Attach How?

I've got the tubes off the car and don't really want to put them back on after I paint the car next month.
The like the idea of the abarth type blocks instead but don't understand how the rear blocks don't require any kind of bracket to attach them. The usual vendors show brackets for the front but say none are needed in the rear. Still seems like putting a square peg in a round hole. Anyone out there care to educate me? Pictures?

Hi John. I ended up sliding the flat bar from the pads inside a tube that fits in the cars bumper holes I drilled a couple of holes top and bottom and tack welded the flat bar to the tube. This then can slide into the cars original bumper hole and then I used a bungie cord to pull it tight to the car and drilled the large bolt hole that was used in the original bumpers. One has to fiddle with the driver side (remove or lift up) as the fuel tank covers the bumper bolt.

Surprised it should be that complicated. I'd think there would be after market brackets for the rear as well if it's that much work.

To be honest after sourcing and cutting the tube to length, the whole process took about an hour or perhaps a bit more.
I have seen tubes advertised somewheres before but this worked just fine.
