engine stopp

i fixed alota of wiring, but nothing to do with the engine, now when i started it it would run and stop as if it was starving for fuel. check the gas line and the electrics fuel pump, seems to all work and fuel was shooting out, possible i thought i flooded it so i changed the plugs, now it don't even fire . what the chance on the points getting fried because i leave the key on the ignition on on. that possible?? i would forget it was on lots of times too

When you say it doesn't even fire, does it crank over? What year model are we talking about?

if the points were closed and you had the key on for a long period they may have burned the contacts. You may have damaged the coil also, especially if you had a battery charger on during the key-on period

it would fire then quit, then fire again. i took the cap off but u can not even see the points , it located in the back side of the dizzy, so who knows. after i put the cap back on it would not even fire. yes it turns over

yes i had charger on, so it possible the coil and points. thanks
