What's missing?

Notice the two holes in side of my drive;s seat upholstery. Inside the vinyl there are two bolt holes. What's missing on my driver's seat?

Looks like someone put a passenger seat back on a drivers bottom seat frame.

It is the tilt mechanism. Here is a shot from my files of how it looks on my `77. Note: This is the passenger seat but the mechanism is identical on the driver's seat.

I agree, the PO put the back from a passenger seat on the seat of my driver's seat. Oh well, it's comfortable enought and when I reinstalled the passenger seat it was less noticeable! I'm not picky.

That would be the location of the ejection seat handle. Many Fiat owners have removed these due to the high probabilty of launching themselves through the garage roof while attempting to engage the parking brake. Having the top up while deploying the manual ejection seat further complicates this problem.
