It sounds like the paint may not have cured completely and is still soft, for the impression to have been left after only 5 minutes of contact. With the car being painted in May, it should have definitely cured by now - if high quality paint products were used and they were mixed correctly.
I have seen paint work come into my friend's shop that was over 2 years old that was such poor quality you could press a finger nail into it and leave an immediate impression. Hopefully that isn't your issue.

It sounds like you have trapped solvents in the lower layers. You need to let it sit out in the sun and cook for a few days to start to get the solvents to release. Just hope you have some warms days ahead of you where you live. When the paint cures hard, you will have to get someone with a buffing wheel and some cutting compound or you can wet-sand with 1000 then 1500 then 2000 grit and then buff to bring the shine out again.
Sorry about the damage... but a lesson learned.

i am no paint guy so i cant say for sure. but it was in the 90s here for a few weeks and i put it out in the drive to cure while i cleaned the garage. also the rug didnt leave impressions. it almost looks likes someone painted the rubber pattern in the paint it is smooth and just looks like ghost checkers in the paint. it would be cool if the hole hood had them but not willing to screw the hood up to try it. and the rocker box covers and the plentum do not weigh enough to leave a impression.
