Is it just me...

Post by cutchaguy »

...or does every project involve a minimum of three trips to the hardware store?

I swear! Went to get my shocks and valve cover gasket...trip 1. Didn't have 10mm socket to remove valve cover gasket...trip 2. Discovered I didn't have gaskets for bolts nor plastic weld for air duct...trip 3. One simple task and it took three trips.

My carbon footprint is a size 30 today!

No it's not just you.
Just be glad you weren't doing a plumbing job, it would have been a dozen trips!

Depends. The farther away the hardware store is, the more trips it will take.

Only 3 trips? You got off easy. I made no less than 10 trips to the hardware store before I was able to get my new 60gal compressor operational.

When I walk into Home Depot it's like Cheers but they yell "Jeff" instead of Norm

No matter how many tools you acquire. It's that one that you don't have that you need. Or something happens that wasn't suppose to and now you need another part.
Nope never happened to me.

My wife gives me a "honey-do" and it ends up with me needing a new tool. She now wants shelves in her craft area, I'm going to need a 20 gal air-compressor and a nail gun.

When you need to rearrange the living room furniture, That'll get you an engine hoist.
Tell her you'll sew her clothes and buy a professional leather sewing machine.
Even though I tried it and it didn't work. :|
