Fiat powered speed boat

Post by manoa matt »

Not mine or any affiliation, just something cool. I wonder if the blue vinyl interior is from the fiat too?

Moana, Never noticed you live in Hawaii. I used to live there too. But I lived on the big island on the far side in a tiny little town called Pahoa. You know, where you had swimming pools hooked up to the gutter system because that was your water supply and you have to drive down the road to modified fire hydrants for your drinking water and you drove your trash to a wall out in the middle of nowhere and threw it over a wall for free (legal dump site). Yes, old memories. Driving to Hilo is where I had my very first Jack in the Box. I went to hamananamana bay (something like that)a few times in honalulu to feed the fishies. I don't know how long you lived there but I was there in 93 and in honalulu we watched them blow up a huge building for demo. And of course did the diamond head thing. Magnum PI drive by (robins nest or something like that). It was a nice time in my life.

Man someone on the forum has to own that Fiat boat. If the engine is good it has to be worth the $$. If the seats were out of the same Fiat that would be an even bigger bonus.

Unbelievable! As I was sitting on the side of the road on the way to Freakout, waiting for a tow truck, a guy in a beat up, old pickup truck stopped and asked if I needed help. I told him my car was only running on 3 cylinders and he said "let me take a look. This is the same engine in my boat." Skeptical, I said, "Really?" and he said "yeah, a 1608 Fiat engine." Well, drop my drawers, I couldn't believe he even knew what a Fiat was!....so, I let him take a peek....and he promptly pulled a plug wire apart while he tried taking it off a plug and said "whelp, there's your problem. A bad plug wire." :?
