Hello all. I am trying to replace the carrier bearing. To get the bearing and assembly off, do I remove the 27 mm nut on the yoke (where the u joint is) and press the spline out of the yoke? That looks to be the only way to do it. Hopefully this makes sense.
Thanks, Jeff

Re: Carrier bearing replacement
Funny, I just changed mine today. After removing the u joint, I used a punch to bend out the staking on the 27mm nut and removed it. Then I used a 2 jaw puller to pull off the old bearing. The rubber support was all trashed, so the outer part kind of ripped off and I attached the puller to the bearing and it came right off.
