A fellow Fiat fanatic alerted me to this ad. Does something in the pics seem odd?

OMG!!! You're selling your car?
Either that or someone liked your engine bay so much they copied it. To the last detail.
Makes you wonder whose car is shown.

Doesn't he know you can't do wrong in the Fiat world and not get caught. Especially on a well known car. We lurk everywhere

Re: What's up with this?
Looks like he's going to have to eliminate the interior/dash shot too, since that is from a dark green or black car.

Re: What's up with this?
The interior in the red car looks grey and the interior of the green car is tan. In the add, he touts mag wheels. Wonder where that car is?
I had called the guy and introduced myself as the owner of that engine bay and told him he better remove the picture or I was contacting local authorities. He told me it was an accident the pic showed up there and he tried to remove it but couldn't. I guess he's a quick learner!

Re: What's up with this?
I have seen this car in the Montreal area back when i was shopping for a Spider, it's been for sale for several years. All is legit with this car, he has two sets of wheels and the interior snapshot is authentic, the seller pointed out how and why the carpet is original. However, i seem to remember the engine bay being spotless without any rust on the underside of the hood. I remember the car being immaculate throughout. Original owner, i recall seller saying he was dating his soon to be wife when he bought it new in '74, he showed me the bill. He accepted a reasonable offer conditional to that i see it run, it hadn't been started in many years. He did have some health issues. He never called me back, eventually i bought my '79.

Re: What's up with this?
Welcome Ari. Please take the time to introduce yourself and your car in the introduction section. We love to meet new Fiat owners!
As for the ad, the gentleman may very well own a 74 Spider he wants to sell, but to have a picture of my engine bay in his ad is false advertising and is not condoned. We've witnessed too many people trying to take advantage of others in this day and time, so we try to take care of our own. If his ad is legit and he mistakenly used other cars' photos, he can repair the problems and repost his ad.

and if you really ARE legit... then please accept my apologies for jumping to an easily assumed conclusion.
I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!
Re: What's up with this?
Poof!!! The add is gone. I wonder what the interior and engine really looked like?
Re: What's up with this?
Thanks maytag and md. I just posted in Introductions. I am legit and i won't need anyone's photos to make it look good. And yes the seller did seem to withdraw his ad, and looking at it more closely i did realize that the two photos of the interior had different color console and stick shift. His ad still appears on another local website with the same pics but i don't want to be the troublemaker so i won't post it for the sake that i met the individual personally.
