Just back from SEMA-new products coming
Re: Just back from SEMA-new products coming
we've been working with a gasket mfg on steel head gaskets, but they've been really slow in repsonding. Same with the head mfg. Seems the reps at the Sema Show were more optomistic about developing these products than the R & D guys back at the factory. And since the squeaky wheels got the grease, we got the products with more interest to market first

Hi Mark
Is the R&P conversion really going to happen? This is something I very much want and would even be ok to make a down-payment if getting purchase commitments helps on your end. I've been pricing out various options to do this ranging from welding mounting tabs to the x-member and mount a 131 rack to buying the original 84.5 yr parts new from spider-point.
If you go ahead, any idea of time-frame?
Best Regards
Paul

Re: Just back from SEMA-new products coming
the r & p conversion is still a possibility, but we hadn't gotten much response on it so it too got pushed back behind some other projects
Re: Just back from SEMA-new products coming
Understood. Should I just go ahead with an alternate approach myself, or is there a timeframe that you could let me know one way or another?
The other question I had was regarding the turbo manifold you've been working on - is this still an active project? I ask because I'm also interested in some type of forced induction upgrade (either turbo or supercharger)
Best Regards
Paul

I don't have a timeline on the r and p setup since we really don't have many prospective customers. The turbo manifold is next up to be completed now that we've finished the X1/9 exhaust and the 850 system is near completion

What is the estimated cost of the r and p conversion? I've been quietly waiting for more information.
Re: Just back from SEMA-new products coming
we're not far enough along to have a cost estimate. I probably won't have updates until the SEMA show again in November

Awsome!!
I'm so happy to see that you are pushing to get us some replacement parts and tuning parts. For years I have been jealous of all the tuning products available to the British car enthusiasts.
Keep up the good work Mark

Re: Just back from SEMA-new products coming
Any news on the rack and pinion conversion? I've been researching this and we don't have many good donors here in the US. Sounds like the down-under crowd has some good options. What have you got for us Mark?

Mark,
Are you still doing the Turbo Manifolds?
Thanks,
Ralph

Re: Just back from SEMA-new products coming
yes, it's next up on the development list. We've been so busy with the new 131 and X headers and TC throttle body intake that the turbo exh has been delayed. We're finally on top of the other new products so I'm hoping to have the turbo manifold soon
Re: Just back from SEMA-new products coming
I'd imagine a quality and easily available turbo manifold would be very popular with the community.

Re: Just back from SEMA-new products coming
Can you give us some idea of who the down and under crowd is that offer R&P ? I will not put the original box back in my car when the restoration is ready for it - no way. There are too many other SAFE ways - love to know what our Aussie brothers are doing....NCArachnid wrote:Any news on the rack and pinion conversion?
