Seat Upholstery for my Coupe:

Post by thechadzone »

Will replacement seat upholstery for a '72 Spider fit on my '72 BC Coupe's seats? How different are the seats? They look pretty similar to me, but my Spider is away on business. Thanks in advance for the replies.

BTW, ebay upholstery seller "Diamondmall" has confirmed that they sell replacement seat upholstery for the 124 Spider. I haven't gotten a cost for them yet, but the ones they sell for the 850 are $250, which is half what other people ask for them... I've purchased two of their tops, one for each of my Spiders, (Alfa & Fiat) and I've been happy with each of them.

There is a complete coupe kit available on eBay with both front and rear seat covers as well as the headrest covers. It's somewhat expensive but it will all match.

The seats on a similar year spider and coupe were the same. Most
spider seats are in worse mechanical shape due to the strains of pulling the top up and rust from getting wet, so I don't recommend just switching them out. The covers for an early (69 to 74) Spider should fit.
