Saw my first 500 today.

We were on our way to the Battle Creek Airshow this morning when up ahead (about 1/2 mile) I saw the profile and tail lights of a new Fiat 500 finishing a pass and moving into the right lane.

A minute later (with some extra speed applied to close the distance) we caught up to it. My wife was kind enough to snap a few pics for me.

In addition to the black primered body panels and mfg plates, there were yellow tags in the front and rear windows with I presume a tracking number for that car.

The driver was abysmal, driving along blathering on his cell and left his right turn signal on for several miles.

Nice car, looking forward to driving one, hopefully next week at Freakout!

Fiat has stepped up,and will be at Freakout in full force.They are underwriting some events,and have built a 70' display with 3 cars...incl.(crossed fingers) a Abarth SS.Also,they are bringing Fiat girls !!!This has been a last minute deal ,but they are lending support to the people who have helped keep the Fiat name alive in the U.S. I promise to post lots of pix.

I saw a few of them on my trip to Europe two summers ago:

I thought I had pictures on this computer, but I don't, but there are some of other European Fiats I saw!!





We also got to ride in a Fiat taxi, and I saw a Fiat Polizia car. I think I saw about 3 new 500s, and actually 3 old 500s as well. I have a picture somewhere of me standing next to one, I'm almost twice as tall as it.

If I find those other 500 pictures I'll post them.
