How hard is the install of a new top on my 76 ? The cheapest I can get a pro is 200.00 . All help appreciated.

"Search" works pretty good on this site. I tried "top installation" and these two popped right up. I didn't look any further but I'll bet there's more:

FWIW When I was a young man my dad and I installed one on my Spider. Probably 1975 it was. It took a while, we worked slowly and deliberately, and it came out fine. On the other hand, $200 for a professional installation is pretty tempting.

Its a good all day job if you take your time. $200.00 might be worth it if they do tops regularly.

Having put one on my 82 Spider, I don't think I would do it for you if you offered me $200. As SLO said, it's a full day job and can't be rushed if you want it to fit right. Also, get ready for possible rust repair on the front bow that will slow you down. It turned mine into a full weekend job. Good luck.
