I am about to clean up and seal the floor pan of my Spider with Truck Bed Liner. I know there are both factory circular and triangular holes/vents in the floor pan. I assume that the triangular ones are for draininge. Should the circular ones be sealed off? I am concerned about unnecessary moisture/road splatter getting in, but I also want to be sure I am not interfering with intentional drainiage.
Any insight or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Floor Pan holes
My guess is that most of them we're for water to drain out but they also let water in from underneath the car. I sealed all of the interior ones on my 80FI. I've only had to do it once, but If the interior gets wet I'll take the seats and carpet out and dry it all before putting it back in.

Yep, seal them all up. Or leave them open and install outdoor carpeting and remove the top. It still baffels me why they had those small triangle drains, what were they thinking?

There were plugs in the round holes. The triangular holes are for drainage, but you could pull the plugs in the round holes to drain a car faster. The reason the tabs are still on the triangular holes is so that in forward motion nothing will splatter into the car. Plug the round holes since the factory plug have fallen apart and you don't have them, but you can get plugs for them at most domestic auto supply stores.
