GOD BLESS OUR VETERANS

Post by NJFIAT1981 »

Hello all,
As we enjoy the day off lets not forget why we have this national holiday. Spend a few minutes in silence and say a prayer for all those brave men and women who sacrificed all on our behalf. Say a prayer for their families who where shattered at the tragic loss of their son, daughter, husband, wife, brother or sister. Then say a prayer for all those who returned. Thank God Almighty that our country and our society produced people of this character.
Next time you see the older looking gentleman sitting in some public place selling paper poppies for disabled veterans throw a couple bucks in the bucket. Then do something else. Thank that man or woman for their service to our country. Then spend a couple minutes out of your busy day and talk to them. Ask them what branch of the service they served with and where they served. Ask them what they did after the war. Then before you leave thank them again and shake their hand.
No I am not a veteran, nor have I ever served in the armed services. You don't have to be a vet in order to know what these people suffered through on our behalf. They should be honored by our society for answering the call when it came. Ask yourself this question. Would you answer the call? Could you suffer the deprivations that these people suffered?

Have a Happy Memorial Day. God Bless Our Vets and God Bless America

Well said NJFIAT.

Thank you to all of the men and women of the armed services and their families that have made the ultimate sacrafice for this great country. Remember! without them we would not enjoy the freedoms we have today!
