proper way to fold the roof

What is the proper wayto fold down a 124 roof? Do you have the pleats drop between the bows, thereby covering the back seat or do the pleats "pop" out so the rear deck is covered? Any help?

I just pop the latches and fling it back. The pleats end up being in the seat. Many people have folded towels between the pleats to keep the rear window from sticking and getting distorted.

There's not a bunch of weird folding and stuff to do like my Dad's MGB, like Denise said, just throw it back. It kind of folds on front of thr rear seat back, then you can put the boot on it to make it look like a seat again. I put a black terry cloth town on the back window before folding it down.

Actually, the British are jealous of anyone who has a convertible in a country where the weather allows the top to be folded!
