Brady, Brady, How many "grey" Ferraris do you see out there? In my opinion, on an Italian sports car there are only two colors. Rosso Red like a Ferrari or Midnight Blue. You've put way too much work on your car to paint it a dull color.

Good point. I did see a blue one last week. Must have been brand new. Midnight blue looks good on a Spider though, it would be my second choice.

Brady,
Your car is going to be way too nice to paint it a boring drab grey! It'll take away from the overall ascetics of the car. If you decide against the reds and blues that everyone suggests I would go with a gun metal grey like Mark had suggested. I painted my motorcycle a gun metal grey w/metallic flake and it looks fantastic in the sunlight. I'll probably paint my car the same color it looked so good.

Hey guys,

I have one of each, one red, one grey.....From my humble experience it is no contest; Hands down, people like the grey color way better and the cars sit side by side in the garage. 8)

Thanks Bob,
That's exactly the color I'm talking about. It looks great on a Spider!
Funny, I have pictures of your car from that post bookmarked on my PC as a reference color for my car. The Porsche grey with the Rotas... sharp! Just to let you know in advance I like it so much that our cars will probably be twins one day! :D

That would be the ultimate compliment, Rick. You have done a few things that I wish I had done on my car. So many great ideas and opinions here....we all benefit! :D

An intervention may be necessary. I believe the rule is, you can only paint your Spider another color if you already have a Red one in your stable or you purchased it that way. I have spent a fair amount of time in the past in New Jersey and your car can be found! Just do me a favor and leave the rubber and chrome off of it after you paint it the base coat of Grey so it will be easier for us to finish it in Red.
