Gun Metal Steering Wheel

Post by SpiderJim »

Just thought to show you this. I did my wheel in the same matching GM has my Rota wheels. In person it really pop's and looks very classic for the era. Now if only I could find a black widow spider to encase in my shifter knob.

Hi Jim, did you polish the wheel or paint it? Looks good. :P
Here's a pic of mine before and after that I polished. Make sure you clear coat it if its polished.

-- Chris I did not know you had them in BC? A nice big fat one would do. I made an recess in my knob (gear that is) that is 1 1/4" diameter so gas a nasty for me when you can. Bruce & Chris.... Finally got my door panels redone and now the correct fit. Got my seats yesterday that have a gun metal edge on them and installed the driver side so took it for a quick spin. Very bad knocking in the front end. I forgot to tighten my front left wheel.... DERRRR. Good job I was only around the block. We installed the storage carpet and made patterns for the rest to get bound. Will finish that tomorrow. All I have left is put the new top on and undercoat the wheel wells and slap on my new badges which I'll do when I get back. A quick wash and wax is needed. So two weeks and should be cruising checking out the talent.... Yeah right!.

Jim, I'll keep my eyes open. Only the females have the red hourglass on their bellies and some I've seen here are quite big.
