Weekend date with the wife.

Post by katsi »

OK, so my wife has this party and I gotta go with her. It's with friends so it's not that bad. Anyway, I say hay, lets take my Fiat. She wrinkles her nose but says ok. So, on the ride over, she actually smiles and says that the Fiat is a pretty neat car :P . So far so good. We get to the party and her friends says hay, is that the car you husband has been spending so much time on. She affirms their suspisions and the party continues. So, once the gals are socialy equalized  , one of them says hay, lets go check out this litte car you husband has been working on - it's really cute  . I say go ahead but stay behind with the guys and the keys. Well, about 15 minutes later, one of they guys says that I better go check out what is going on out front. So get this, all these 40 year old women now think that they are in some photo shoot with and exotic car and they are taking pictures of themselves ON THE CAR  . Yes, ON THE FREAKING HOOD  . I go out and I got two women TRYING to be 19 and thin again on the hood of my baby. Two sitting in the seats and one on the trunk lying on her stomach with her head perched in her hands and her feet off the ground. WTF? :x Their all laughing and carrying on. UGH, I just gave my wife a look and turned arround and went back inside. I guess she got my meaning by the look because she got the FORMER beauty queens off my car. The damage is not as bad as you think but not good either. I really can't believe that this happened. Hopefully, I will get some of the pictures as I can not ask for $ for the damages. They are my wife's close friends. Still, I'm a little pissed off none the less.

Yep, you are definatly exceeding the suggested weight limit in that photo. Yet, I don't see any of them ladies flailing themselves accross the hood.

True...

Sorry to hear, the fenders and hood are very easy to bend on these Spiders.

You could throw a party at your house and ask all of them to sign the dents they put in your car and see if they get the hint and then pass the hat?

What's with people and their desire to sit on the hoods, trunks and fenders of cars? I can only imagine how you feel. " "

Fixing dents made by former beauty queens =$500.
Having all your wifes friends thinking your (and her) car is really cool thus justifying your time and money as well spent= Priceless!

I'm impressed with your impulse control. Friends or not, they'd all be sitting on the hard, cold asphalt.

I am, ain't I?
I think the reason this upsets me the most is because a car is the second largest investment a regular person makes and it should be respected accordingly. Our Fiats are not only investments, but they are also of a different time and era. Someone has poured their heart, soul, time and money into these cars to keep them on the road. They and their owners deserve the utmost respect in my opinion.
