Hey guys,
I am sure that priming the grilles is the better way,but I didnt I had them out to work on horn and just had a urge and sprayed them.It really holds up pretty well. The paint was called 'realchrome',or something similar. It was bought from Autozone. It does make the car stand out a little, and is a ''El Cheapo'' upgrade...my favorite kind!

Thanks for the side by side, I was on the fence about what I should do with mine. I really love the look of the chrome.ga.spyder wrote:I used chrome spray paint from Autozone, for the 'cheapy' chrome look. That was 3 years ago,and its still on there.I did rechrome it once.I get more comments at Fiat events about the 'chrome grille' I am with Denise on the powder coat.I cant imagine the oven would do those thin grilles any good.

Re: grillin
Nice job Tulsa,
What did you use on your grill? And how did you go about prepping it?

Re: grillin
This is just an opinion, but if the lower grill was matte black, it would set the main grill off even more.
Re: grillin
I like the look of this. I will have to try it aswell. You said the cheap autozone stuff works?

Re: grillin
I used Krylon aluminum paint, after all it's an aluminum part. I prepped it By scuffing it down very well. I did not remove the paint, and cleaning with lacquer thinner.
Yea I am thinking the same thing. The lower grill is a bit too much perhaps, but I thought I would give it a bit to see ..
