Hey guys,
I am sure that priming the grilles is the better way,but I didnt  I had them out to work on horn and just had a urge and sprayed them.It really holds up pretty well. The paint was called 'realchrome',or something similar. It was bought from Autozone. It does make the car stand out a little, and is a ''El Cheapo'' upgrade...my favorite kind! :D

Thanks for the side by side, I was on the fence about what I should do with mine. I really love the look of the chrome.

Nice job Tulsa,
What did you use on your grill? And how did you go about prepping it?

This is just an opinion, but if the lower grill was matte black, it would set the main grill off even more.

I used Krylon aluminum paint, after all it's an aluminum part. I prepped it By scuffing it down very well. I did not remove the paint, and cleaning with lacquer thinner.
Yea I am thinking the same thing. The lower grill is a bit too much perhaps, but I thought I would give it a bit to see ..
