What Size Bolts?

Thank you guys.
Before I asked the question I did asearch and founf this post.
I now also have a collection of bolts I thought would work but dont. I went to ace, Home Depot and the local bolt place and they where all wrong. I swear I did get one of the 12's in the hole but after I removed it it would not go back in.
I brought the bolt to Advanced Auto and tried in there bolt / nut gauge thingy and the bolt fit the best in 7/16 .20. Of course now I have to find one that is not 3 inches long.
