Tonight, I decided to do some cleaning under the hood. I removed the carb linkage and decided to clean it up. As I am loosening the nut on the accelerator cable, the threaded part of the cable breaks off in my hand. GRRRRRR.
Now I have to hunt a cable down. Nobody seems to have one in stock for the 79 carb'd model. Murphy's law at work again.

at least it didn't break on the road. I have a carbed 79 parts car

Wonder if it's the same as a 78 model. I ordered one of those for the Lemons racer before we decided to go with rod linkage.
