Differences between CS2 and CSO

Post by abcman3000 »

According to the data I was able to acquire both versions were called Fiat Spider 2000 (without the "124" and without the "Sport" ) had the same characteristics differing only (MAYBE) by the engine...but I'm confused about the subject. Shine some light on it please !

CS2 (July '78 to October '79) engine type: 131 C4 000 (1995cc)

CSO (May '79 to July '82) engine type: 132 C3 031 (1995cc)

both types had two versions :
carburetor Weber 28/32 ADHA 85 HP (DIN)
or, di
Bosch L-Jetronic injection 105 HP (DIN)

Differences with the previous version (CS1): bigger power bulges, different rear lights, catalytic converter, different door handles

There must have been other differences !!!

I was always under the impression that the CSOs were FI only. Where did you get the information that a CSO could be carb'd or FI?
If that information is correct, you're right, it wouldn't make any sense.

I'm pretty sure the CS0 is fuel injected only.

maybe...I found in a brochure that there was also a carburetor version.

Still I don't see any difference...CS2 also had a FI version.
What can you tell me about the engine codes ?

CS2 and CS0 were produced some time together. Often the cars are very "mixed".
There are some CS2 with FI too...
