Looking great, nice to see the outside. I hope driving it is as enjoyable as looking at it from afar.

Good luck with the next stage.

thanks for the compliments guys, fortunately all that on the driveway is water since I had just washed the car when the picture was taken. But wouldn't you know it, I DO have an oil leak! Its minor and only appears when I finish driving it. I will fix the problem with an engine swap :P

I am currently focusing my time on customizing minor details inside the car, will have more pictures soon. god bless

Fonz, a couple of questions for you, what exact type of rustoleum did you use and where'd you get the dynamat? I'm currently at the same step with my 80' spider.

Buy the dynamat on amazon for the best prices, that's where I got mine. Expect to use 1 bulk pack- 9 sheets for the front and rear floor pans, kick panel sides and rear quarter panel walls. I also chose to do the whole trunk and inner bumps of the hood that will take an additional bulk pack. Buy some aluminum duct tape from home depot for the seems.

There is a similar product that is a little bit less expensive than dynamat: Edead I have no experience with it, but was recommended by red107; and POR15 might be a better option (although more expensive) that Rust Oleum. Just my 0.02

I also recommend "HushMat" as a Dynamat replacement. That is what I used. Significantly less expensive than Dynamat.

Great interior work... I'm looking to do the exact same thing myself.

What did you use on the seats? Did you get them reupholstered?

What are you planning to do with the space the stereo should be in? I've thought about putting the radio in the glovebox as well.

How much work did you do on the floorboard? Was there rust? You do anything before treating it with rustoleum?

Thanks!

Wow! Nice work on the interior refurb. Thanks for the ideas. I think I will follow your plan when I get to that "project" in about a month.

Fonz wrote:I replaced the battery at no cost due to warranty, turns out that was the problem. Everything as far as electrical is A-OK, I do have an odd problem though. My turn signals wont work unless my caution light is switched on (weird right). My courtesy light only comes on when i open the passenger door. (it flashes 3 or more times) Anyone encounter this problem?

this is what I am shooting for but in black (photo editing involved). I have to change the tail lights and mirrors before I send it in to the body shop. (To the owner of the picture pm me and I will take it down upon request).

(man I want those mirrors..)
are those wheels BBS's?
