dude i just read all 9 pages and feel like i missed the first season of true blood. Im all caught up now thanks for the documentation of your parts car... I think your going to have to paint this thing and make it your 2nd car at worst. Its an 83 so its 10 times rarer than all the older fiats. the dash center console / side mirrors on glass and no back seat are going to make it by far the most desireable of all of them... you cant scrap this car out for parts i hope you dont.. show us your body filling skills.. we are all riveted... go boy go...

I could almost see your smile when you realized your horn worked.. I had that same moment 2 months ago.

I felt the same way, initially, but the body is too far gone to save... I thought about it, even exchanged emails with Matt for qtr panels...

Just read thru all this WOW!!

BUT the clamps on your fuel lines ARE NOT fuel injection clamps, and I am wondering if the hose is FI hose??? Gonna have one heck of a fuel spill if not using correct hose.

Heck of a lot of work, you are an ambitious man!!

Keith,

Hose is for fuel injection. Hose clamps were the only ones I had. Now that I know this engine is fine I will take it apart, clean, paint, replace/repair anything else I find, and make it look pretty :D .

Let me put FI hose clamps in the list of stuff to buy. Thank you.

A few more photos:

All Harness is out... Father in law took the time to organize the mess, we put additional labels on it. It is now nicely rolled up, not like in the photo.

Image

Steering box is next... but you can see how we took everything out.
