I was up on Baldy on Friday. There was a little snow at Mt Baldy village but all the roads were clear. However, if it rains all day Saturday and Sunday like the forecast says, those roads could be pretty bad, and the driving would be miserable.

Re: SO CAL SUPER BOWL STRUT?
besides the fact not many owners take their cars out in the rain, it's the traffic going to the ski lifts that turn the road into a parking lot. If we do a run, I think it would have to be in the foothills below the snow level. Anaheim HIlls or something similar
Re: SO CAL SUPER BOWL STRUT?
the weather forecast has changed now to partly cloudy and 60 degrees. Anybody want to do a drive?

I'm interested. Where do you think? Supposed to be rain on Fri and Sat, so mountains might not be ideal.

my car is blocked in by 2 broken cars, vette and alfas.
Re: SO CAL SUPER BOWL STRUT?
I regret that I will miss this one. I'm refreshing the engine and transmission, mainly due to head gasket problem. Am refreshing all the seals while I have it apart, as many of them were leaking. Will also have the drive shaft balanced, and try to figure out why my rear left axle seal is leaking again. Maybe the case is cracked, I've replaced the seal twice now.
I hope the weather turns out good -- have a great drive!

Well gang, it's very wet out there right now. I have a feeling this has put a damper on the level of enthusiasm for a drive.
The latest weather I've been watching shows the major shower activity getting into the hills and stalling.... right at Glendora and Azusa!
I think we're shot down. Is this the general concensus?

I think so Ron. Forecast is talking showers off and on til noon. Imagine the roads might be a bit of a mess.

Dang, I didn't even notice this thread going on until today...I would have planned on coming out with you guys, as I don't care too much to watch the football thugs on tv run for a few seconds then stop and aruge for 5 minutes, then run again for 2 seconds and argue again, and then repeat - I don't have the patience for that! Anyway it looks like you didn't go afterall. I'm in for whatever your next plans are for an outing since the Turkey Trot was such fun.
