My aunt used to work for the Porsche factory several years ago and my Mother and my Opa used to transfer them on the Autobahn. Wish I could get a job like that.

Germany is beautiful. Work related travel took me one time to Munich. I sneaked out one day from that week and took the train to Stuttgart to visit the Porsche Museum (the old one, not the new one). Wish I can do it again, but first I want to go to Italy.

A few photos from that trip to Munich:

The only proof that I was there:

Well, let the work begin. First, a quick wash.

I sure do admire your ambition. You have done more in two months on your car(s) than I have on mine in two years. Keep up the good work and the informational posts.

P.S. I'll take that Ansa system off your hands when you get Mark's setup. ;)

Nice find! I can always count on you for my daily FS.com fix. Keep up the great work and try not to piss the wife off.
We don't want your last post to be in the For Sale forum. :D

FOR SALE
It is a 1981 car with 150K miles. Purchase price: US$ 1,375.00 + trailer rental + diesel = US$ 1,500.00

The good (and guys/gals, by new I mean there were installed new 21/2 years ago...) :
New ANSA exhaust
New suspension
New brakes lines, calipers
Solid body, no accident history

The bad:
A few rust bubbles starting to show in the wheel arches
Then there is the interior...
Top needs to be replaced
Bad airflow meter
Good dent in the oil pan
Driver door has the dreaded crack in the top hinge
Missing badges
Missing front spoiler
Did I mentioned the interior?
Small dent in the passenger side, rear qtr. panel

Included: a parts car and 2 fire damaged Porsche's (courtesy of the wife). :D

Let us take a look, shall we?

Image

All new (well, recently done) brakes, lines, even the e-brake lines were changed. Front a-arms as well... I sprayed WD-40 in all bolts as I looked around.

Image

OK I get it now... this is how the transmission should look

Back to the garage... more updates later.

Nice looking car, Wachuko. Looks like getting the rust bucket first was a good idea!
