Help!! I am searching for different type wheels for my '78 124 restoration project and saw these on a car in Italian car club gallery....I'd like to get some but can't find anything about them. Any of you with more experience w/ Fiats know who makes these & where to purchase ? Thanks. Hard to tell from such a far away picture, but they look like old Carroll Shelby rims, that have been painted black.

Should be 2 pics there, the car & a closer view of wheels only...is that working right?

I'm sure Denise will chime in soon, but until then I think they look like the BBS E50's

This is a closeup picture of her rim: http://gallery.italiancarclub.com/124og ... 1.JPG.html

They are Shelby rims, I have a set that I just finished blasting, now they just need the lip polished and clear coated. They are a faux 3 piece rim, 6 inches wide compared to the stock 5.5 width. There were black plastic fake allen head screws that I punched out prior to blasting them. They could be reinstalled, but I think it looks better with out them. The wheels originally came with a gold paint in the center section. They have a wider offset for that aggressive stance look, but you need to have sholdered lug bolts and studs to mount them.

I'm with Matt on those being a pair of old Shelby rims. He has a set just like them.

As for the BBS, it's possible that they're a set but the link you posted has a cut away around the bolts and the mystery set doesn't have that. Plus those are 5 lug not 4

EDIT: you beat me by seconds

Matt gets the prize! They are old Shelby wheels I bought off a fella in BC Canada. It's funny you say they're supposed to be gold, because I bought them with the idea of painting them gold to go with the color of my car but decided against it once they were mounted. I think the black makes them look more aggressive.
What color are you painting yours, Matt?

I had a set of the BBS wheels on my X back in the day so that was the only brand I could think of. Good call Matt, Boogie and Denise.

Edit. I didnt care for them in the Gold but Black is cool even Silver.

I'm in the balance on these rims right now, I don't know if I'm going to keep or sell them. I like the look, the wide offset, and all the open area so you will see the drilled, vented, and slotted Uno turbo brake kit. But I'm almost finshed restoring some CD16 iron cross cormodora rims with custom yellow scorpion center caps, all they need is clear coating but the weather has not been condusive to spraying outdoors.

The two strikes against the Shelby wheels are: they are not hub centric, and they have a wide offset which puts extra load on the outer wheel bearings....but wheel bearings are cheap, and you can't see the big brake kit through the CD16's.

Regardless I need to get one set of rims done and new tires installed. I got an old set of Pirelli's on the rear that have no tread. Taking corners in the rain is a bit scarry.

Denise, I have two of those Carroll Shelby center caps if you want them, pay shipping and they are yours. I'm going with 4 new center caps from Mark, either a chrome dome or the gear style, depending on what the rims look like when finsished.

Sure I'll take them. One of mine fell off while I was driving and another is missing a few tabs. Thanks Matt!
