Rocker Panel Trim
Rocker Panel Trim
I was just curious what the name is for this chrome trim piece above the rocker panel:
My Fiat doesn't have any, and I really like the way it looks. I was looking on ebay and wasn't quite sure what to call it. Anyone had to buy one of these and know where I can get one/how much they cost? Thanks!

Re: Rocker Panel Trim
They are called "rocker panels" !
International auto parts sells them in metal or plastic.

What ^ he said...
There is a chrome piece that also goes there. Let me take a photo of that piece to share.

Re: Rocker Panel Trim
Sorry, I wasn't clear in my original post. I meant the chrome trim you're talking about. My car does have rocker panels haha. I edited the first post to be more clear.

Re: Rocker Panel Trim
It fits under the sill plate inside the door opening. There is a little difference between year models where the screw holes are located so keep that in mind when finding used parts.

Re: Rocker Panel Trim
Nick, is that your blue car? If so, you already have those pieces, its just been painted blue. Its actually stainless steel and not chrome. I have 2 sets of these. Send me an email if you are interested in them. matt.scarton@gmail.com
Re: Rocker Panel Trim
That is my blue car, I don't have the pieces though. I think my rocker panels are aftermarket or something, because they stick out a little bit. I may be interested in yours, I'm sort of confused if they are aftermarket panels then perhaps the trim pieces might not fit on. I'm also out of a job at the moment but I have an interview this Thursday, if all goes well I may just be interested in the pieces you have.

Re: Rocker Panel Trim
Can you post a close up photo of the area so we can see what we are dealing with?
Take a picture with the door open looking at the sill.

Re: Rocker Panel Trim
Yep, you got them, they are painted blue.
Re: Rocker Panel Trim
I'm pretty sure it just looks that way from the picture, I stripped down my entire car to bare metal before I painted it and the rocker panel was just one piece, there's nothing in between it and the door... I'll get a closer up picture that's easier to see.manoa matt wrote:Yep, you got them, they are painted blue.
Re: Rocker Panel Trim
I'm in buffalo and might have a set of those if you really want them, myself I see it as nothing more than a place to trap crud and cause rust. I'll look around and if still there your welcome to them.
