AUTOBELLA - Australia (lots of pics)

Post by Curly »

The Fiat Car Club of Victoria held its annual 'Autobella' Italian Car 'Show & Shine' today. There were plenty of Fiats including 124 Spiders and Coupes, as well as classic exotica and some very modern exotica as well. The show-stealer however, was a magnificent original Maserati 250F Formula One car, that was driven the few km from the owner's garage to the venue through Melbourne's Sunday morning traffic. No registration or permits - open exhaust and all, just for the hell of it.

Curley,
Great pics, Are those 16 or 17" rims on that Spider? Wow.
Hard to believe they let you in without a red spider. Nice to see a place without snow for a change!

Red is obviously the colour of choice  .
They're 17" rims on that red Spider  - far too big in my opinion, they look like wagon wheels and are out of proportion to the rest of the car. 15" rims are very common on Spiders over here and I think they look more aesthetically pleasing

The black SPYDUH with the gold rims is a very nice look. That one gets my vote.

It's not my place to speak for Curly, but in the interest of answering Pope's color question and correcting the assumption that it's black, here's a good thread that shows the color and the name of Spyduh's paint:

Very pretty.

Interesting to see the big-bumpered blue Spider on old Cromodoras.

That AC and 850 Coupes are a pretty pair.

Hi Curly,
Do you have any close ups of your grill? Is that a weave?

Wow your car is beatiful, I really like the front end you've created! I noticed you've got the steering wheel on the wrong side however.

To much snow here in CANADA for a show yet.
Where can I get great 15" rims like those on the Fiats here in Canada.
