One down 3 more to go.

I hope the pic looks as good as it does in person. Cleaned with a small wire wheel and an air dremel. 1 coat etching prime and one coat prime - 3 coats of bright silver.

Katsi, those look great.
Good god man you must have patience. After buying a set of CD-3's I had them glass blasted and powdercoated. The fellow said the original material was a bear to get off, and he had the profesional equipment. Like yours, they look great now, eye's thinks anyway.

Those are going to look sharp when you get them all done.

How long did it take you to do the one? Looks like it was a PITA.

Great Job, Katsi! :D

Those CD-3's got more nooks and crannies than an English muffin, but they look sooo right on a Spider 8)

The tiers are new. I am going to have to have them re-balanced once I have them painted. I was going to take the tiers off but that was just too much $. Anyway, I cleaned them with brake cleaner and then I just used the small air dremmel. The wire wheel is about 1.5 inch in diameter. I do the smaller areas with a smaller electric dremmel. It only took about 4 brewskies to get it clean as whatever is on there is old and ready to come off (I did not clean the back side). I then give it a good blast of air and a quick alcohol wipe down and she's ready to mask off, prime and paint.

Thanks for the positive input. I was really supprised on how well the transformation turned out. The pic really does not show just how nice it looks.
