Are they're any videos online on how well a fiat spider can perform, Cause I haven't found any [this is to make me feel better about buying the car]. I wanna see one smoke a Ferrari or porshe

Unfortunately I think you are going to be disappointed if exotics are your benchmark.

Lets take the new Corvettes. 400horsepower at 3200 lbs curb weight. That is 8 lbs per HP. And it is VERY fast.

If your Fiat weighs 2000 lbs, and has 80HP that is 25 lbs per HP.

If you want to get it in the 150-200 HP range it is possible and there are people on this forum who are in that range. But you will have to pay for each of those horses. Not just the engine, but the car was not built to handle that much power. Expecially at 25-30 years old.

The thrill of the Fiat is the raw driving experience. None of the modern things you have no choice but get with a new car. Just you and the car with the wind and engine roar. It is also a rush to me driving along at 80 mph without airbags and with nothing more than a lapbelt for "safety".

You may not out run an exotic but you will probably turn as many heads along the way!!
