I wonder if my old 1976 Spider is still on the road

Back in 1987 I sold my 1976 Fiat Spider to someone named Roger Frye. I know that this is a long shot but I wonder if he still has it and if it is still on the road. Through an on-line search I found that it was last smog checked on 02/08/2005 in Hesperia, California. This is not too far from where I sold it. Anyone know Roger Frye? I have the VIN number in my records.
