Just for amusement, get the serial number off it. Mine is 124CS1 0139358. With those later tail lights, this one should be a higher number, I'd think.

'05 tag! That thing has not be run in 5 years? Gas in tank must be varnish by now.

I am guessing that all fluids need to be replaced, looking at the photos I would also check (and replace) the differential oil/fluid, as well as the transmission oil.

Car looks to be in one piece. Glad to see they are bringing it back to life!

Before I started it up I checked the oil levels. It was amazingly clean. It will be changed along with the other fluids. Dropping the tranny this weekend. changing the clutch, clutch cable, pressure plate, and bearing. They parked it on 05 when the tranny wouldn't change gears. Also somebody did a hack job on the ignition switch wiring. For the cost of 300.00 The car will be back on the road. There is only one bad area on the car. where the A/C unit was. rusted the passenger side floor pan pretty bad. They were going to junk it a few years ago and a neighbor talked them out of it. Thank go. got to keep these cars on the road.

Strange - maybe they sent cars with the older taillights to Canada, even though my serial number is higher. I have U.S.A. stickers under the hood, but the odo is in kilometres, so it was orginally shipped to Canada and I bought it new in Montreal. Strange company.

Its a shame they evr went to the newer tail lights. The ones on my 77(old style) are way more attractive than the larger ones on my 82.
