OMG it runs!

Post by macawlover70 »

Wow, it was the wierdest thing. My spark plug was sending spark through the base of the plugs and when i would hold it away from the block a spark would jump from the threads to the block. No one had even heard of that before. Well you all know how much I have been struggling trying to get this started. New ECU, bad injectors, no inline fuse, bad temp sensor, ad nausium. And wouldn't you know it, I put new spark plugs in it and it started right up. Doesn't run perfect but I have alot of loose hoses, wires, the timing needs set, my magnetic pick-up needs set, and the radiator isn't even on but it runs pretty good. WOW! I am so excited.
Thank you everyone, and especially Ron, for all the help. Now I know so much more about my car thanks to all of you. I am so happy right now I could kiss all of you. Not really, but I am pretty excited. I can't wait to take it for a spin. :D

This is one of those cases where a PO had said the plugs were new. But after everything that wasn't working got sorted out and it still didn't run, it came down to bad plugs. I want to pass on the special thanks to Ace, who helped me help Robert. You know, when my brain wasn't functioning at full throttle. And, good call Jeff.
I was very extited to get the call that it was running!!! Watch out south Texas, Robert has a running Spider!
