That dealer is very optimistic, imho... Car was repainted, and if you look close at the photos, they did not remove parts to paint it... you can see the painted rubber covers around the bumper, and the lights... but one to add to the list to look at when visiting Tampa.

Thank you!

Yellow car is a 1977. His Dad has a 1974 (blue with white top). I will stop by to see them on my way back from the event.

if it's a 77, then the motor has been changed. Just so you know, the 75-76 motors were interference motors

Mark, thank you for letting me know... that word gives me nightmares... I know it is all about making sure that belt is in good condition, but the thought of it breaking and loosing the engine because of it... uuuuuffff...

The red one at Thrifty has been for sale for at least 3 months now. So I am sure he will be willing to work on the price. US 19 is like international drive in Orlando. Lots of car lots and strip malls.

Everytime I see that ad I get a strange feeling. Maybe becasue I work for a used car lot before i went in to the military. The car looks ok but when someone repaints a car a different color and leaves the inside of trunk and hood the original color gives me an odd feeling. Like they painted the car real quick to hide something.

I know painting the engine compartment is a pain but how much more work is it to paint the bottom part of the hood and trunk lid. Can any who has painted a car clearify that for me?

IF i get a chance to swing by later today ask my Fiat repair guy if he knows the car. Also I will check to see if he has any Fiats for sale. I know he has some alfas for sale but they are a little higher priced.

That is the type of search engine for ads that I was looking for. Doing the search one by one was a pita. Thank you!

I have done two restorations where I changed the color. I would think that any paint job where they changed the color and didn't do the inside areas was probably done by one of the low cost, high profile quicky paint shops and can't be a very good paint job and it was probably done to make it look better to sell it.

Jaime,

Try craiglook.com

This is the best way I've found to check craigslist in a 250 mile radius. You can easily check every day or so to see if anything new pops up.

http://www.searchtempest.com is a good search tool for Craigslist. You set the distance from your zip code and it searches all of the CL sites.

My mom told me,when going through a bit of a dry spell years ago, "never judge a book by it cover".
I replyed "but mom, it has to have a nice cover if I'm going to ruffle through the pages"
This car has a nice cover, in the pics anyway. Gets your attention, see whats under the cover. perhaps the owner might meet half way.
