Fiat (1/8 scale)

I'm making a front end 124 spider wall display. Just curious if anyone would be interested in it. It will have headlights (hopefully lighted) and the grills. It will be media blasted and painted. Trying to keep the Fiat spirit alive instead of disposing of it. I guess I could cut open a tire and try to make it look like it has wheels. Let me know what you think of my idea. All opinions accepted.

Great idea. I wanted to make a fiat "love seat" with the rear seat and trunk half, like the old Cadillac couches with the wings like Kramer on Seinfeld had, just too many other projects and not enough time.

Updated pic's. This is how it will hang on the wall. All I have to do now is cut the hood and make it sturdy to hang.

Hey, you could make it into a hanging light to go over a pool table, then make chairs out of springs and wheels and a table out of the engine block! Cool.

My friend Bob came over and I finally had help welding the hood onto the bottom. Now I can start working on the bodywork.

as cool as this thing is, don't you have a REAL car to be working on? LoL.... Lee Putman (from Chi-FLU) would love this; I think he has some sort of display of his ow started, I'll see if I can get pics of it...

That's what I plan to do if I ever wreck my car or am forced to sell it or something. I'd take the steering wheel and mount it on a wall probably in my garage. Just something to remember her by

I just painted the wall mounted spider. It looks great! I can't wait to see it with everything on it. This one is accounted for. I will be making two more. One will be mine though. If your interested, they cost $600. First person interested will get it. I am requiring a $100 non-refundable deposit. You will receive pic's of progress PM'd to you unless I finish it prior. It's getting cold here so I'll have to see how much I can get done. I'll show the final pic of this one when I get it all together.
It is red. The lights are making it look kind of orange. The others will be the same color.

I haven't checked into that. It would be cool if they glowed though. I'll let others take care of that. I have a lot into it already.
Red paint is expensive. Like $230 a quart not counting everything else that goes into making it.

That looks great! If it were painted green it would remind me (even more) of Kermit the Frog, the way the headlights sit without the rest of the fender behind them.

You did well to get a straight cut around the back so it sits flush against the wall.
