Nice work on your projects guys. I do this stuff for a living but my house... You know, the shoemaker's kids have no shoes.

Trey, my being a newbie 'n' all, you'll have to wear that same outfit to the FLU events so I can recognize you.

I'd take that trade anyday! Cars are one of the few things that I actually do myself because I enjoy it, not because I'm too cheap to pay someone else, (the more $ I save the more I can spend on cars :) ). Wrong wheel drive cars are excluded, I won't touch those! By the way, I'm suprised nobody spotted my fire starter by the wood stove, I don't need no stinkin' kindling!

Being a General Contractor. I am glad to hear that some people now know that it's not as easy as it seems. Good looking work guys.

I tried to count them but the polyurethane is making me feel funny :?
We've made some real progress and will be moving to the new house in a week. This weekend we installed cabinets. The bedrooms are done, (new carpet Friday, the only thing we haven't done ourselves). Not too bad for five weeks, huh? I did take a week's vacation, but otherwise we've worked after work and on weekends. It's amazing how much paying two morgages does to motivate you! Sanding the hardwood was even worse than doing bodywork, even my camera has dust inside!

You should be very proud of the work you did because it looks great, Trey. After seeing the detail you put into your Fiats, we wouldn't expect anything less from you.

Thanks for the kind words, the finishing was the easy part, removing the old flooring/underlayment was the worst, followed by the two full days of sanding the new red oak floor. Even worse is comming this weekend, THE MOVE. :( It's going to take me at least 6 months to organize al the crap in my garage again! The Spider meets it's new home Sat.
I actually was goint to try to make the Freak Out this year, but I guess I'll have to shoot for next year.

The kitchen is done!

Post by htchevyii »

After using the laundry room as a tempory kitchen for the last month the kitchen is finally done!! Well, 95% done anyway. Now I have to finish the master bathroom! The cork backsplash was very time consuming. I still haven't figured how to get the construction dust out of my camera.

Thanks, it took a long long time to drink all the wine
Actually, two people gave us their collections, it seems they
saved them but couldn't come up with a use. I still have a ton left!
