My home town is on History Channel 01/10/10

Post by mdrburchette »

History Channel is airing a series about the infamous Bowman Gray Stadium and it's drivers. Anyone that has been to this track for a race will understand why it has been so popular for over 60 years.

I have been to a race there...pretty cool!!One of the few tracks where they have the police in the infield,to break up the fights after the checkers fall. Then the good fights get goin' in the stands!! Denise looked at me and said''Do you believe these damn rednecks?" You gotta watch it.

I can't believe you just said that. Junior Miller is washed up. You would know that if you watched the program last night. The man ran into the back of Tim Brown before the race even started, flattened both of his left tires and bent an axle because his foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas. Good grief Craig.

No one else in the world knows what you two are talking about. Good grief, you guys are letting your southern hick surface again!
Thats why we have PM on this forum for insightful and stimulating conversation below the Mason/Dixon. LOL!

Opps, did I say that out-loud? I see storm clouds rising in the south and moving fast.

That's okay Pope. Being that I posted it in the Off Topic & Social section I didn't see any harm in it. Since it was on a national program and had partly to do with the roots of NASCAR racing, which, by the way, is car racing, I didn't see a problem there either. If nobody but Craig wanted to comment, that didn't offend me. Why on earth would you comment on it if it didn't interest you? Just don't open the topic and it can't offend you.

No Mike. They've added a couple more steps.
1) Go fast
2) turn left
3) knock anyone out of the way that may beat you
4) If you get knocked out, "accidentally" spin out, wait for the offender to come by and t-bone him
5) If satisfaction from step 4 isn't fully met, attack the offender in the pit area after the race.
