My frustration was NOT at someone bashing mods. Hell, I don't care. I hate some mods too.
My frustration was quite specifically about some people who think that ONLY FIAT ENGINEERS OR DESIGNERS have any business designing or engineering. And that eventually morphed into "EVERYONE IS STUPID except for people who are engineers by trade".
Now, I know no harm was meant. I know some folks felt that their 4-6-8 years of education and experience was being compared to the guy who put that turbo on the Honda, sticking out of the hood, which was not my point.
I have nothing but respect for people who really can design, engineer & create. I have moments of lucidity that way, but usually I'm one of the "Stupid" people.
I'm just sayin' that design creativity and genius can come in any shape or form. Sometimes from a guy making loads of cash.... and sometimes from a guy in his garage.
So as not to stir it all up again; it's quite clear to me that everyone on this site must have above-par tastes.
And as I say, I understand the points of view taken by each post. And I'm probably playing at semantics when I argue it out the way I did.
So I'll blame 3 pages of this mind-numbing blather on me needing a distraction from what's onmy desk waiting for me all day!
