I just finished cleaning the gauges as I noted under electrical. Grounding problems are solved, but I can't get the speedo cable to click back on - it just won't push far enough in to click.
Any advice on reconnecting? The cable had popped off itself when I removed the instrument cluster, so I wonder if that is a sign of trouble?
Thanks

there generally isn't a whole lotta slack in that speedo cable.
if you disconnected it from the tranny first, then snapped it onto the back of the speedo...then placed the dash back in place, putting the cable back on the tranny last.
three inches is three inches, and sometimes that is a lot; especially in a Spider dash.
