New addition to the family

Post by ga.spyder »

I couldnt resist(I am so weak),and my wonderful wife is an enabler. Her response is always'If you really want it,get it'!! I havent been up on 2 wheels ina long while...but it does come back fast.Got a great deal, its a 2005 with 4000 miles all from the original owner. He was in dire straits ,I bought it for his loan payoff.

O!M!G!
That's really hard on me Craig. I rode for 40 years and now my wife (who is such an unenabler) has gotten so paranoid about it that she was on my back constanly to stop riding. Sigh.
But the bright side is the Spider was my incentive to give it up.
That's a beautiful machine my friend. Just be careful, we want you around.

Part of the deal to get the bike is that I enroll in the Motorcycle Safety Foundation rider course.I am going in 2 weeks ,for a 3 day course.Cycles are a huge presence in this area.It is a destination for bikes and clubs from all over,to ride the mountain roads.I have put 130 miles on in the last couple days.I am rusty ,but pretty competent  May have to put a certain red 77 Spider on the market come springtime, though.
Craig
ps..Denise tell Ron I just cant afford a Harley, but if he lets me ride with him I will lag behind and pretend I dont know him!!

Wow, very nice bike, Craig! I knew you'd end up buying it and you got a great deal. I don't think Ron has a problem with you riding with us. I, on the other hand.....don't care either! :D

Congrats, Craig. Pardon my ignorance -- I can't tell from the picture, what model is it?

Her response would be the same. She knows she's the best he'll ever get. 8)

Pope...she said no pets!!! The bike is a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic. The guy had put a lot of options on it.There is a light bar, freeway bars w/ pegs, windshield, sissy bar, bags, and a loud Vance and Hines exhaust.Couple small paint chips and on dimple in the tank, but all in all ,its in excellent shape.Denise...my wife says she knew you would stick up for her,and she loves you.She wants to know who this 'Pope character' is
